Desperate Visions Productions is dedicated to bringing Drive-in style films to the Video audience.
Desperate Visions Productions is a film and video production company founded by Jason L. Rudy and is based in Sacramento, CA

.Jason has been at work on multiple films over the last few years. Beginning work at Burning Grounds Entertainment, Jason's first assignment was as an 2nd unit camera man on "This Hollow Sacrament. Following that film Jason was an assistant director on the films "Ladybugs" and "Anxiety". During this time he was also writing scripts and developing stories for his own endeavors. After the filming of "Anxiety", Jason left Burning Grounds Entertainment and started his own production company, Desperate Visions Productions.

The first film produced by Desperate Visions was the short-film "The Last Road to Hell". Written and Directed by Jason Rudy, the film is a throwback to the gritty 1970's drive in style horror film. "LRTH" was in production during May and June 2007 and was in post after that and completed in November 2007.  The film played locally around Sacramento including the Sacramento Horror Film Festival in October 2008, where it was well received.

The second film to emerge from the company was "Sukeban: Octopus Pot" the 1st feature film with Jason Rudy writing, directing, filming and editing.    "Sukeban: Octopus Pot" began production in February 2008 and wrapped in May 2008. The film was completed September 2008 and debuted at the Crest Theater on October 16th 2008. That date also saw the DVD release. The film was well received and was featured in an article in the Sacramento News and Review. "Sukeban: Octopus Pot" is a film made in the Pinky Violence style of film made popular in Japan in the 1970's.

The Third film produced was "Love Blade" again written,directed and edited by Jason Rudy. "Love Blade" was the 2nd feature production from Desperate Visions Productions. "Love Blade " was filmed in Spring 2009 and Premiered on August 13th 2009. That date also saw the DVD release. The film was again well received and was profiled in an feature article in the Sacramento News and Review.  "Love Blade" is the story of a woman who gets a homicidal urge to kill every time she is turned on. She meets someone with the same condition who has answers for her questions.

The fourth film produced was "Desperate Visions" - Written, directed and co-edited by Jason Rudy.  D.V. is a double feature of  LADY M. (A Modern silent film) and CHUMP CHANGE.

"Desperate Visions" is the 3rd feature production,  and the first one  co-produced with VChi Studios. "Desperate Visions" began production in November 2009 and wrapped in July 2010. This was a two picture shoot- filming first "Chump Change" in December 2009  then taking a break  for holiday, then filming "Lady M." in January, March and May 2010.

"Desperate Visions is a double feature  film consisting of "Lady M."  and "Chump Change" and unlike anything you have ever seen before! 

Desperate Visions-the theatrical version- had a test screening at the Crest Theater on October 9th and 10th 2010. After the screening, Desperate Visions was retooled and Lady M. was transformed into a modern silent film, which has drawn praise from its viewers.
